RobCo robots provide an interface to the Robot Operating System (ROS).
Currently, ROS 2 Jazzy Jalisco (jazzy
) is supported.
Note
RobCo’s ROS 2 integration is in active development and should be considered alpha-state software. Bugs and breaking changes are to be expected. Please report any bugs you encounter here.
Note
The ROS 2 integration is not yet installed by default on RobCo robots shipping as of March 2025. If you are interested in access to the ROS 2 interface, please get in touch with support@robco.de.
Attention
The ROS 2 interface on RobCo robots is mainly geared towards researchers and provides a very low-level interface to the robot’s controller. Depending on the specific interfaces used, some safety features might not be available. Never operate a robot with personnel within its reach. Always ensure the workspace is clear of others and read the user manual shipped with the robot before operation.
