Link module
Link modules (links) form the static connection between two drive modules and determine the geometric length and orientation of the respective robot limb. Link modules are used to achieve the desired kinematic structure and reach of the robot.
Power supply and robot communication between the modules are transmitted through interface contacts.
At the module couplers, the modules upstream and downstream of the link module are mechanically connected using connecting terminals.
Link modules can be either straight (I-type) or right-angled (L-type) to adapt the kinematic configuration of the robot to the application.
Together, all the link modules define the kinematics of the robot – that is, its range of motion and working height.
Thanks to the modular design, the number and length of the link modules can be adjusted, allowing the range, load capacity and dynamics to be tailored to the specific application.
