Enabling unit
When connected to the enabling unit, the robot operates in manual mode. The robot can execute programmed sequences at reduced speed, be jogged, or be moved manually in hand-guided mode (HGC). The enabling unit is connected to the control unit.
The enabling unit is equipped with a three-stage enabling switch, a function control button and a function rocker switch. The three-stage enabling switch is used to enable robot movements, while the function control button is used to enter program commands.
Enabling switch
In manual mode, the enabling switch must be pressed and held in the middle position to enable robot movements at a reduced speed (≤ 250 mm/s). The program (the programmed robot program) is launched on the control PC in RobFlow. In manual mode, the robot is moved manually after the brakes are released.
When the enable button is released or pressed all the way down, a Category 2 stop (SS2) is triggered and the robot's movement stops immediately.
Mounting and fastening
The mount is used to secure and store the control unit when it is not in use.
The enable unit and its mounting bracket must be attached to the drive module on which the end effector is mounted for manual operation. This ensures that the control unit is ergonomic and easy to use.
Emergency stop button
Pressing the emergency stop button triggers a Category 1 (SS1) stop in any operating mode of the robot.
