Activation and deactivation sequence
Activation
Before activation
Perform the following tasks and inspections:
- ► Inspect the system and all components for external damage.
- ⇨ If you notice any damage or contamination, repair it or arrange for it to be repaired.
- ⇒ The system can be turned on.
Turning on the system
- ► Check all system components for external damage.
- ⇨ If you notice any damage, repair it or have it repaired. NOTICE! The system may not be turned on if the protective cover is damaged.
- ► Check the supply voltage. It must match the information in Technical data.
- ► Unlock all emergency stop buttons.
- ► Turn the light selector switch on the control unit to the ON position.
- ⇨ The LED on the illuminated selector switch is green.
- ⇨ The LED on the control unit for robot communication will light up green after 1–2 minutes, once communication has been established.
- ► Check to make sure that all components (grippers, peripheral devices) are turned on and operational.
- ⇒ The system is turned on.
Deactivation
ATTENTION
Property damage caused by shutting down with the emergency stop button
The emergency stop buttons may not be used to shut down the system, because the electrical safety components are not designed for such a high number of switching cycles.
► Always turn off the system using the illuminated selector switch on the control unit.
Turning off the system
- ✓ Automatic mode is stopped (see the RobCo Studio manual). NOTICE! The system may only be turned off using the illuminated selector switch of the control unit when automatic mode is disabled.
- ► Set the illuminated selector switch to the
<OFF>position. - ⇒ The system is turned off.
