Dashboard settings
Each Dashboard carries a small set of settings that control how it is identified and who may open it.
Name and description
The name identifies the Dashboard in the selector and in the Dashboard Viewer.
The description is free text. It is worth using on any installation with more than a couple of Dashboards, to record which station or shift a Dashboard is meant for.
Protected (needs login)
A protected Dashboard requires a RobFlow login before it will open. Unprotected Dashboards open for anyone who can reach the Robot.
In the Dashboard selector, protected Dashboards are marked, and show whether the current session is Authenticated or still Needs login.
Protect any Dashboard that can move the Robot or drive an output — anything carrying jogging, Free Motion, Set Outputs, Set Payload or brake control. Leave read-only status Dashboards unprotected so an operator can see what the cell is doing without signing in.
The login itself is configured under Network and access.
Prevent kiosk breakout
Kiosk mode hides the app bar so a Dashboard fills the screen. By default the operator can leave kiosk mode again with an on-screen button, which brings the app bar — and with it the rest of RobFlow — back.
Prevent kiosk breakout removes that button. The Dashboard then stays full-screen and the operator cannot navigate out of it.
This is a usability boundary, not a security one. Someone with access to the browser can still change the URL. For a real restriction, mark the Dashboards you want to protect as protected as well, so the rest of RobFlow requires a login.
Enable Prevent kiosk breakout only once the Dashboard is finished and tested. With it on and no way back to the app bar, the practical route to changing anything is another device.
