Connect Profinet to the Robot

Connect the peripheral port of the RobCo Control Unit to the industrial network.

That is the whole physical setup. Everything else — giving the PLC the Control Unit's Profinet device name, assigning its IP address, and mapping the data — is done from TIA Portal; see TIA Portal Setup.

The following IP address ranges are reserved for internal use and must not be used for any other purpose:

  • 192.168.3.0/24
  • 192.168.4.0/24

Please ensure these subnets are not assigned within your network configuration.
